 Mixed Media Home decor: "Celebrating love"

Here is my new project inspired by the theme LOVE. As we celebrate the season of love, I am inspired to create this home decor piece , reminding myself to be more forgiving, loving and appreciative of all the little things and opportunites life has to offer.

Christmas mixed media home decor

 Mixed media panel Christmas home decor

Inspired by the elements of the December moodboard: frames, flowers and morocan pattern designs and the pretty pastel color tones, I have created a mixed media panel in a Christmas theme for my home decor this festive season.

 Compulsory element 'shadow': I have done coordinating  black cardstock and black glitter paper cutouts of my elements to create a shadow effect. Aslo done some black color  linings around the star element for the shadow effect.

 Scrapbook- welcome little one

I have made baby theme scrapbook to document memories of baby, inspired by the colors of the moodboard, pastel pink, yellow, green and floral elements, I have put a simple floral arrangement to decorate the cover.

I have made a scrappage layout , keeping the theme colors, love the pastel hues.This project is dedicated to my mother, my strength and pillar. Words fall short to express my gratitude for all that she has gone through and sacrificed , to make me a better person. I love you mom.

Christmas frame

 Christmas frame

Hello dear all. Happy to share a christmas home decor frame. I have used a mdf base and decorated it using christmas theme decoupage paper, handmade poinsetta flowers,  die cut elements and gave textures using ground texture paste and crackle paste. Hope you like the outcome.

Inspired by Isha pai's project, I have created a christmas village scene project. I love how Isha have used the ground texture paste in the background and the borders of the frame and inspired by it I have applied the ground texture paste around the frame, giving it a frosty look. I have also used EC crackle paste and texture paste in the background for more texture and interest.

I have used decoupage paper " Winter time" from Craftangles for the background. And aslo used the emerald green and white cardstock for making the trees and die cut elements.

3) Splashymix:
Inspired by the colors of the moodboard, I have used the colors white, red, green in my project. The elements children, flowers, snow have been added to the project to create this Christmas theme project.

More than words: Inspired by the memories of my childhood, I have added transfers of children in my project reminding of my childhood, how we love running from house to house just to admire the christmas lights and decorations. I have use gliding gold around the frame border to complete the twist.

Sharing another of my new project, a house name plate for my dear sister.  I was inspired by the elements door and buildings and have used them in my project. The color scheme has been choose to go with the moodboard.

Altered kettle& mugs

 Hello crafty friends, thanks for dropping by. Here I share my latest work, an altered kettle with mugs.









Entering for challenges:

1) Splashymix: Inspired by the moodboard colors : peach, pink, green and white and the elements flowers and cake I have altered a kettle with matching mugs. I added some fun 3D decoupage cupcakes. Serving black tea from the kettle  is very much part of my local culture at all ocassions. After seeing the happy celebration/ occasion theme I was inspired to alter a kettle inspired by all the elements of the current challenge moodboard.

2) Itsy bitsy: I have altered the kettle and mugs using the new archival multi surface paints from itsy bitsy. I have used three shades white, orange, pink randomly to cover the kettle and mug base. Thereafter, did 3D decoupage cupcakes using decoupage paper from itsy bitsy and pattern designs using transferme sheets.

Herne: The white stag

 Hello crafty friends, sharing my project.

1. Mixed Media Academy: inspired by the theme and on going hop" mythical creatures", I have chosen the mythical creature Herne, the god of the hunt and protector of the forest. In Celtic mythology, in his form he takes the shape of the White Stag. In this project Herne, the white stag is seen roaming around in the darkness and beauty of the night. I have been immensely inspired by all the beautiful creations of each artists.  Thankyou for the awesome hop.

2. More than Words: Inspired by the word Night, my mixed media frame features Herne (white stag), the god of the hunt and protector of the forest ,roaming around in the darkness and beauty of the night. I like the night sky,without the dark we'd never see the stars. Its a no flower project.
